What this property was

MenuCrafters today is a restaurant menu generator: describe your restaurant, your dishes, your style, and it produces a polished, printable, brandable menu. That sentence was not true for most of its life. For most of its life, MenuCrafters was EatEasier with the logo swapped — a meal-planner clone occupying a second domain in the same niche, doing the same job, splitting the same thin traffic.

A Stripe checkout exists and is live; confirmed sales do not, or at least none I can verify, and I've promised you I won't round "unknown" up to "early traction." The honest metrics are structural: one duplicated niche resolved into two distinct products, a full bilingual route tree redirected without loss, and a domain that previously competed with my own property now feeding it.…

The lesson recorded after launch

When you catch yourself running two of the same thing, the cheapest move is almost never to keep both — it's to make one of them become something else or shut it down, and to do it the week you notice rather than the quarter after. Clones feel free because the marginal build cost is near zero in the agent era, but every clone bills you continuously in attention, maintenance, and search-engine suspicion.…
