You record yourself practicing — an interview answer, a sales pitch, an investor update — and the system analyzes the audio: filler words, pace, clarity, energy, structure, how you handle objections. It hands back coaching notes the way a human coach would, except instantly and without the hourly rate. There was a Pro tier on paper with deeper session memory, rewrites, drills, and a "Live Coach" beta.…

Evidence recorded in the manuscript

Revenue: zero, and unlike some properties in this book where I have to say "checkout live, sales unverified," here I'm confident in the zero, because nothing was ever promoted to anyone. Traffic: whatever ambient crawl a parked-but-live domain gets, which rounds to nothing meaningful. Costs: a domain renewal and a slice of a VPS I was paying for anyway. The real cost was time — this was weeks of build effort across web, iOS, and video tooling, which at any honest consulting rate makes TalkMaestro one of the more expensive zeros in my portfolio.

The lesson recorded after launch

The $9 test you never run costs more than the failure it would have revealed. I built the deluxe version of a product before running the napkin version of the business, and the order should always be reversed: smallest possible paid offer, smallest possible audience, then — only if money appears — the app, the Pro tier, the preview video. The cruel detail is that the test was defined, written down, and priced at nine dollars, and the product still beat it to completion.…
