Wobistro.com is an "AI Restaurant OS": a workspace where restaurant operators keep recipes, standard operating procedures, menu work, staff training material, inventory and prep notes, and an AI operations chat, in one place, across web, iOS, and Android. It is structurally the most ambitious thing in this book — a monorepo with a web app, a mobile app, and shared core, database, and UI packages, plus pricing, FAQ, support, legal pages, a health endpoint, even a crawler guide for AI search.…
Evidence recorded in the manuscript
Revenue: zero confirmed. Payments are wired and the pricing page exists, but I have no verified sale and, more damningly, no verified trial by a real restaurant I could name. Leads: the launch-request form exists; I genuinely don't know that it has ever been submitted by a stranger. Traffic: minimal, never seriously driven. Costs: this is where Wobistro stings — it consumed multiples of the agent time of my average property, easily one of the largest build investments in the portfolio, plus the slow tax of the audits and handoff docs around it.…
The lesson recorded after launch
Workflow software cannot be launched the way tools are launched, and AI agents make this mistake cheaper to commit at greater scale. A tool — enhance this photo, generate this report — can win from a landing page because adopting it costs the buyer nothing. A system asks for migration, habit change, and trust, and that is sold through demos and hand-held onboarding, never through a pricing page discovered by accident.…
